Wife Dvd
Desktop DVD player runs?
Even when not used or even no disk inside, my wives DVD cranks and runs. Fast, then slow, then fast then slow..very annoying. Any one have an idea why?
Yeah Tex, the wild horses are loose in the coral. In other words, it's failing or one of the "on" gizmos inside the box is stuck "on" permanently. It is probably a spring or something like that that has gone bad, not worth trying to fix, but if you have a screwdriver and the willingness to maybe screw the drive up, open 'er up and see what looks loose to you. Of course, you won't be able to know unless you hook it up - I presume, it is an external USB drive, so if you have it opened, make sure you don't poke your fingers in there when the electricity is on.
