Unplugged Dvd
How to unlock my JVC XV-S300 dvd player?
I have a JVC XV-S300bk dvd player. Here's the scoop. I have a dvd that was made in Italy and it won't work on my US dvd player. I have tried using the "unlock codes" and no luck. My dvd player reads "regional error". I don't want to have to buy a new dvd player that will use PAL, so if anyone knows of a way to help me out, PLEASE let me know.
Here's what I've done already...
Unplug dvd player
Plug system back in while holding the "Open/Close" and the "play" buttons
The word "Test" should come up
Press "9" on the remote until the display on the player says "00A0 0000"
Press "Standby/on"
Wait 15 seconds
Turn player back on
I did that a bunch of times, with no luck. I also tried...
unplug Player
re-plug while holding the open/close AND play buttons
press the forward skip button
display will read "0000 0000".
The player still isnt "region free". The dvd, by the way, is "Stormlord: The Battle of Quebec City, Live in Canada" - if that helps.
Help me?
Dude, you will have to eat it up. If the DVD player is not an all regional player you will never be able to play European discs. My Wife is from Iceland and she has a bunch from Denmark that I had to pay $130 bucks for an all region player.
