Two Weeks
Is two weeks in advance too little advance to book a ticket to Thailand?
I guess to clarify. Would there be something that would hold me up for more than two weeks (like mandatory vaccinations, travel visa, etc.)

You shouldn't have a problem at all to find a flight to Thailand.
For your visa, if you need one, you will have to go to the Thai embassy or consulate in your or the country you are in since you can not get a visa in Thailand.
Most foreigners will be granted a visa exemption when entering Thailand which is 30 days by air and 15 days by overland border check points.
Usually you are able to apply for a visa in person abroad and get it on the spot...that's for most countries. Call the Thai embassy in your country.
