a nazi flag in platoon the movie?
toward the end of the movie after Chris (Charlie sheen) shots and kills Barnes (Tom Berenger) a tank comes to recuse the survivors of the air strike, on the tank there a nazi flag waving, does anyone notice this, and if you do, why is this?
note: there were african american on the tank too!
A theory, towards the end of the war in Viet Nam, soldiers who would soon be getting sent home were being recruited to be mercenaries in South Africa. Thus they may have shared Nazi-like sympathies with the Boers.
Why did those same men in the tank wear mohawks?
On Edit: If you mean black American soldiers, some also fought against repressive regimes & tribal factions as 'hired' guns in Africa. War is all about MONEY, always has been, always will be. Mercs can make mega bucks & principle is not usually a factor in whose side to take. It's only a movie & only a theory as to the presence of the flag.
