Tips To Get Your Landscape Ready This Spring
It is easy to see how well a person is or isn't taking caring of their yard. An untended yard has long grass, leaves, weeds, and all sorts of things a well tended yard does not have. We all know that this looks bad, but sometimes we can't help but let the grass grow a little too long or the leaves to build up a little too high.
Doing yard work is inconvenient and it takes time away from our days. People with allergies are especially reluctant to work on their yards. I wrote this article to give you some tips on completing your lawn maintenance faster so you may invest more time into doing stuff you love. You'll even learn about the important tools that you can use to make the job even easier.
Firstly, whether you have a small or a large yard, you will get your yard work done faster by taking advantage of new technology. A leaf mulcher and a leaf vacuum will certainly work faster than a rake. You'll find the same to be true when you are comparing old lawn mowers without motors and ones with motors.
For spring time maintenance, you will want to have a good pair of garden gloves and the proper tools to rake out and weed your garden. Make sure this is done as soon as you can, and immediately lay down a thick layer of mulch or garden rugs. It is good to lay your mulch down early as this will help keep more weeds from growing in your garden. Wood chippers as well as a good leaf mulcher will aid you in the creation of mulch.
When summer comes upon us, the main job our lawn gives us is simply to keep the garden beds free of weeds and to mow the lawn. Remember that during very hot and dry periods, it is best to raise your lawn mower blades to keep the grass a bit longer. Longer grass will not burn up and die like shorter grass.
As soon as the fall season hits us, we need to start collecting falling leaves. Through the use of a high quality leaf vacuum and a leaf mulcher, you can be done this task very quickly. This will ensure that you don't have to worry about bagging up leaves or raking them to the curb.
