"9% more tourist arrivals and 7% more overnite stays are realized. We are planning about ten percent increase in tourism results," expounded Jelka Tepisic, director of TZ Dubrovnik.
The results in Dubrovnik-Neretva County are similar. In the first seven months arrivals increased by 7 p.c, and overnite stays by five percent. Hotel traffic increased by seven percent, while the camps and private owners noted a decline of three and 2 p.c.
"The first info shows typically the increase in revenue compared against last year, but we're going to see what will happen with the price side of the total business," said Vladimir Bakic, director of TZ Dubrovnik-Neretva county.
President of Dubrovnik travel agents reveals that the most plush hostels achieved the most satisfactory results and are booked from May to late Sep. Hotels with five stars are literally sold out.
"We are achieving superb prices and according to the situation as it is now, a recession has passed," asserted Luca Baca from Grand Villa Argentina - a beautiful villa located in an exclusive area, close to the consequential center of Dubrovnik.
