Tips to Design A Great Looking CD or DVD by Shawn Nag
In today's world CD and DVD are the most common tools to view and hear information. With the popularity of these computer add ons, there are more and more people, to seriously think upon how to make these CDs and DVDs attractive. Submit Only High Resolution Artwork: The images submitted by you should be greater than 300dpi and should be made using a good graphics program such as InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and QuarkXpress. It is always a rule that the better resolution for artworks better would be the on-disc printing results.
Use Vendor's Set Templates: Using the vendors templates reduces a lot of time. It helps in the measurements such as stacking ring diameters, outer edge bleed and inner hub. Using the vendor's templates also reduces the graphic design fees.
Recommended Formats: All the artwork provided to the cd duplication or dvd duplication company should be done in the formats such as TIFF (.tif), Adobe Photoshop (.psd), JPEG (.jpg), EPS (.eps), PDF (.pdf).
Create Layered Files: Providing artwork in a layered file helps to edit and make minor changes to the file whenever required. The misspellings can be corrected and the other associated factors for images can be adjusted.
When designing a CD or DVD it should always be borne in mind that there arepeople with different tastes and they will look into your product, so be very meticulous about the designs.
