Glenn H. Jones of McKeesport (tribunereview)
Glenn Hudson Jones, 92, passed peacefully Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Cedars
Hospice. Born in McKeesport and a lifelong resident, he was married for 69
wonderful years to Martha B. (Ulm) Jones, who preceded him in death. He was
the son of Thomas C. and Freda (Williams) Jones. He is survived by his older
son, Glean C. (Sharon) and their three children, Jeffrey (Barbara), Jordan
(Jon) and Jennifer. His younger son, the late Keith Jones, died of
complications in 1996. Glenn was a long time active member of Park Baptist
Church in Versailles Borough, where he was very instrumental in the planning
and construction of their new church. He always loved carpentry and gardening,
and took much pride in his home and his work. He was also a life member of the
Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. Glenn was a World War II Army veteran, serving
in the South Pacific Theater of the war. He retired from the National Tube
Division of U.S. Steel, most recently as foreman of the Bessemer Converter
Operations. His friends and his accomplishments from those years of service
were very important and he spoke of them always. A memorial service ...
