Into You
How to stop your dog from running into you?
I have a 3 year old lab. After I have thrown the ball for him to retrieve, on his way back to give it to me he never seems to slow down fast enough and always comes barreling into me. I usually put my arm out to push him away before he runs into me, and say stop..it doesn't work very well! Any ideas?
I have large dogs and I use my knees to keep them from running into me. Be careful though you can get hurt if you don't do it right. I make my dogs give me space where ever I am at in the house or yard. I knee them out of my way and they get the hint real fast to give me my space. I bounced them off a wall a couple of times and now I am free to travel unobstructed.
