"Book Our Reservations!"
Doc and Festus were having a heated argument as they sat in the Long Branch.
10. The Conversation was thus:
Festus: "But, Doc....Jest let the idea kinda simmer in your brain a bit. After a short while you'll cozy on up to my idea for our vacation plan."
Doc:" I will NOT cozy on up to the idea of spending 6. Six Days Seven Nights on 4. The Mosquito Coast with you!! Were you DRUNK when you made the reservations?!"
Festus:" Awwww, Doc. Ain't you jest a weeeee bit tarred of going to the same old place every year. This'll be different....an adventure.....Don't ya see?"
Doc:" Are you aware that all the newspapers refer to this place as, '5. The WIDOWMAKER'?!!"
Festus chuckled and patted Doc's shoulder:" I ain't booked anythang, yet...But I sure do wanna go to 'Dead3. Witness Resort and Spa."
Doc pushed his hand away" The name ALONE presents 7. A Clear and Present Danger , you numbskull!!!!"
U.S.Marshal Matt Dillon strolled in and joined them .
Matt:"I see I will once again be 3. Witness to a display of fiery tempers! Haha."
Doc brought him up to speed.
Matt:"Doc's right, Festus. The 8. Hollywood Homicide boys are still investigating that triple murder from last month. So far all they've found are three legs, one arm, a large intestine and two empty craniums."
Doc pointed to Festus:"Talk about your classic empty cranium!!!"
Festus glared at Doc:"Well, Matthew..... Do they have any leads?"
Matt ordered a beer before answering:" Only one. They think that Harrison "9. Firewall" Fordinski and his gang are involved. One thing is certain. The murderers were 1. American .Graffiti was scribbled all over the walls."
Festus:" What'd it say, Matthew?"
Matt:" Sexual innuendo involving Calamity Jane and Annie Oakley." He shook his head in embarrassment.
Doc and Festus both leaned forward, eyes as big as saucers.
Festus:"Well what in tarnation did it say?!"
Doc:"YEAH!!"
Matt looked at both of them and got up to leave.
Matt:"Humph! If you two perverts want to read it, you'll need to go see for yourself!!"
Doc grabbed Festus by the collar:"QUICK!!"
Festus:"Huhhhhh?"
Doc: " Let's skeddaddle on down to the telegraph office!"
Festus looked confused:"Why, Doc?"
Doc:" TO BOOK OUR RESERVATIONS, OF COURSE!!"

Wonderland $3.47 The dark underside of Boogie Nights is tracked in Wonderland, a sleaze-filled look at the notorious "Wonderland Murders" of 1981. The movie attempts to explain how the legendarily endowed porn actor John C. Holmes was involved in the killings, while deliberately suggesting the difficulty of knowing the truth of a murky case. The police procedural aspects turn out to be less intriguing than the wei... |

Hollywood Homicide/The Devil's Own [2 Discs] - $12.99 Includes:The Devil's Own (1997), MPAA Rating: R Hollywood Homicide (2003), MPAA Rating: PG-13 The Devil's Own A policeman plays Good Samaritan to a visitor from Ireland, only to discover that he has a potentially deadly secret. Belfast-born Frankie McGuire (Brad Pitt) saw his father gunned down by enemy soldiers at the age of eight, and when he grew up he joined the Irish Republican Army, determined that one day his father's death would be avenged. An especially ruthless "volunteer," Frankie is responsible for the death of 13 British soldiers and 11 policemen. After a particularly bloody battle, Frankie sails to the United States in a ragged tugboat he has restored; with a huge bundle of cash, Frankie intends to buy a stock of Stinger missiles from an underground arms dealer in America, Billy Burke (Treat Williams). Upon arrival in New York, Frankie is met by a judge who is sympathetic to the IRA's cause and who arranges a place for him to stay. Using the name Rory Devaney, Frankie moves into the home of Tom O'Meara (Harrison Ford), a scrupulously honest cop. Tom is already in the midst of a personal crisis; his friend and partner Edwin Diaz (Ruben Blades) recently shot a man that he knew was unarmed in the line of duty, and while Edwin wants Tom to help him cover up the matter, Tom's conscience will not allow it. When Tom begins to realize that "Rory" is not simply a man running from the violence of his homeland, he's torn between his sympathy for Frankie's tragic childhood and his desire to see justice served and prevent needless death in Ireland. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi Hollywood Homicide Further cementing 2003 as the year of Ron Shelton cop movies, the director continued his vacation from the sports genre with Hollywood Homicide, a police comedy that comes right on the heels of Shelton's Dark Blue, a decidedly grittier cop thriller. The film stars Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett as LAPD homicide detectives Joe Gavilan and K.C. Calden, two cops with bigger dreams. Gavilan moonlights as a real estate agent, while Calden teaches yoga and yearns for a career on the big screen. When an entire hip-hop group is murdered on-stage, Gavilan and Calden are called in to handle the case. As their investigation progresses, they begin to suspect that the rappers were offed for attempting to get out of their recording contract with label head Sartain (Isaiah Washington). Along with Bruce Greenwood and Keith David, the supporting cast boasts a plethora of real-life musicians, including Dr. Dre, Gladys Knight, Dwight Yoakam, Master P, and Ronald DeVoe of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe. ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi |
