I need help copying data form one PS3 HDD to another?

Ok i just bought a new 120GB PS3 and i have a old 40GB PS3 and i don't got an external hard drive to back up my old one. So i wanted to now if i could use a program like Acronis Disk Director Suite to copy the partition off of the 40GB Hard drive to the 120GB. Will this work?

jus get a flash drive, an mp3 player, or something and do it the old fashioned way

some save data cant be saved. movies from ps store cant be redownloaded
