studies have shown that in men, height is a factor in early death, and men 6'2 and over die 7 years younger. they also have increased heart problems, which affects men more to begin with.

Being a tall male myself and having studied and studying in the medical field, there is a CORRELATION. This does not equal cause. The fact of being tall may not be the cause of the early deaths. Tall guys are often hard on their bodies, playing a ton of contact sports in the younger years and being relatively inactive later on in life. The heavier you are, the more wear and tear your joints are going to endure which deters people from being active. I would have to concur that there would be more stress on your heart the larger you are. Still, I would have to say no it is not a death sentence. Just take care of yourself. Stay active and in mid-late adult hood, stay on top of your heart health.
