2 Reasons To Love Standup Comedy
Hi, my name is Fred patrick Fish and today I am honored to write this guest post. Here goes nothin'.
I reckon [that] Dane Cook is more overrated than having intercourse without a rubber. Daniel Tosh and Mitch Hedberg, on the other hand, now they are great comedians! Now, I will tell you why I love Mitch Hedberg, and then I will tell you why I like Daniel Tosh. It's aight, you don't have to read the fine print, this is an honest review of two of the most outstanding comics ever to hold a microphone.
Firstly, [it goes without saying that] Mister Hedberg has some of the best one-line jokes in his toolbelt. Let me show you one of his jokes so you know what I am talking about:
I'd like to see a forklift, lift a bunch of forks. It would be so damn…literal. Amazing! And another:
I know a lot about cars, man, I can look at their headlights and tell you exactly which way it's...comin'. Hedberg's timing and delivery are what do the jokes. And these are just two of his hundreds of jokes! All of his jokes are out of order and really really random. They come out of left field. So funny. [I think that] Mitch had so much going for him; he could practically make up a something out of nowhere. He probably could create a joke or a funny situation about portable printers, even. [Random I know.] This is why I love Mitch Hedberg. Alas, Mitch passed in 2005. Rest in Peace, Mitch.
Daniel Tosh is just a little different than Mitch Hedberg. And by a little, I mean a lot.
His timing, delivery, and demeanor are still brilliant like Mitch, but in a different way. Whereas Mitch is random and his jokes flow one after the other, Daniel is more fluid and his jokes flow together. Mitch, in his routine, will move from one topic to the next in a heartbeat. He will talk about the Double Tree Hotel in one sentence, and in the verry next breath, talk about how the FedEx man is a drug dealer unknowingly. Daniel, on the other hand, will be talking about the best all in one printer and making jokes about that, and will stay on this topic for a while before moving on to the next topic.
In their routines, sometimes Daniel and Mitch can be a little boisterous, but they are definitely worth checking out. Daniel Tosh is currently on tour. He also has a show on Comedy Central called "Tosh Point 0". I recommend that you check them both out, whether on Comedy Central or online, or in a store.
