Bible Stories
Does teaching a child silly bible stories undo what they learn in science class?
In science class, children learn to make observations and form hypotheses to explain what they have observed. Then they learn to test their hypotheses before arriving at a theory that explains what they have observed. It’s all very rational and ordered. But then, some brainwashed fool comes along and tells them to just believe all the absurd crap in the bible despite a complete lack of corroborating evidence. The two subjects completely contradict each other; it’s almost as though one cancels the other out leaving the child with zero input, right?
Depends on where the science class is being taught. If it's being taught at a private school, then it's likely that the science is already watered down with religious nonsense. This way, the Bible and the lesson will kind of flow together and give the child a religiously-skewed outlook on science.
If it's taught at a private school, then the child - hopefully - has some hope of overcoming the nonsense and discovering that the Bible is just a storybook.
