Bank Robbery
What is the punishment for aggravated bank robbery in Texas?
So I know this guy from highschool that I really disliked and the FBI is looking for him right now. He robbed a bank down the street from my house and he had a semi-automatic pistol with him, he pointed it at the teller.
The newspaper said the state of TX will be covering the charges, but I thought robbing a bank would be considered a Federal crime? Also I was wondering if anyone knew how long he would be in prison?
By texas state law, he'd be charged with up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 (or more) fine. If he harmed anyone, he could do life for attempted murder if the district attorney wants to make it look as though he meant to do so.
In Texas, they enforce the death penalty easily, so he better hope he didn't lay a finger on someone.
